Achievements

In 2005 Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council's website  achieved the highest rating of 'Transactional' in the annual SOCITM Better Connected local authority website survey, joining an elite group of only 38 councils in the UK.

The website was ranked in the top 20 of all 468 websites, and was also rated as one of the top 5 district council websites.

In 2006, http://www.shrewsbury.gov.uk/ was again rated 'Transactional' and retained its position in the elite top 20 list.

In the national 'Pendleton Survey' (December 2005), that assesses online provision of planning facilities, Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council website achieved the maximum score of 21 points out of 21, resulting in the council's provision of online planning services being rated as excellent by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
