We are looking for two team members to teach swimming skills to children and adults and to perform some lifeguard duties at the Quarry Swimming and Fitness Centre.

In addition to teaching you will be required to assist in the initial programming and ongoing organisation of instruction classes together with the necessary testing and examination of instruction class clients. You must be able to demonstrate proven expertise and extensive prior involvement in the teaching of swimming within a commercial environment. You must hold the Amateur Swimming Association Teachers Certificate or equivalent and hold a current RLSS Pool Lifeguard qualification (Foundation Module Award 6th Edition), as general lifeguard duties will be required.

Salary will be in the range of £13,336 to £14,822 per annum. Hours of work will be 37 per week, working 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am to 5.30pm on Friday. During the school holidays period (13 weeks) you will be required to work an additional half-hour every Friday (9.00am to 5.30pm) Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council offer various benefits, including a full pension scheme, corporate gym membership and participation in the Busy Bees childcare voucher scheme.
