Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough council recommends that all planning applications are made using the Planning Portal.

Using the Planning Portal generates real benefits to all parties.

• Did you know that a typical planning application to the council uses the equivalent of 140 A4 sheets of paper? And some use a lot more!
• All English and Welsh councils are signed up to the portal, so once you start using it, then you can apply to all councils in exactly the same way.
• The portal enables you to save applications for later re-use.
• Planning Portal applications are automatically loaded into SABC's planning system, making the whole process quicker and more efficient, with less scope for errors, in fact, statistics reveal that 1 in 3 paper applications is for some reason invalid, whereas only 1 in 20 online applications are invalid.

 

The 1APP planning application form set has now replaced all types of planning application forms (except applications for minerals) within England, and is the only legal way of submitting a planning application. Further information can be found on the Planning Portal.
