Gains Park Make a Difference Day

Make A Difference Day was about bringing the community together to make a real tangible difference to the local environment and community.  Facilitated by officers, Councillors and Community Activists Make A Difference Day would focus on a major cleanup and environmental improvement of Gains Park.  It also aimed to encourage community activities, community consultation of the future of Gains Park and hopefully the recruitment of more community activists.

It is important to encourage community ownership of everything involved in the project, from the initial organising through to the evaluation of the day.  Make a Difference Day was not about one day of fun events, it was about bringing the community together.  Everyone from the area should be given the opportunity to get involved, especially the young people who are the future of Gains Park.
