This is our latest webcam, looking onto the Welsh Bridge from Victoria Quay.

 

This view clearly shows the level of the River Severn, at times of flood the water can almost reach the top of the arches of the bridge. The river flows from right to left in this view.

 

The Environment Agency flood gauge is visible in the foreground (the small grey box).

 

To the right hand side of the picture, beyond the bridge, shows the new Theatre Severn, construction of which started in November 2006, and is due to open in March 2009.

 

Theatre Severn's website was launched in November 2008, including the first programme of events.
