Funding is available for:

• Facility development
• Talented performers
• Talented teams
• Coach development
• Officials development

Shrewsbury  and District Sports Advisory Council (SADSAC) is  allocated funds each year from the Borough Council to facilitate grant aid to local sports clubs, talented performers/teams and coaches /officials.  The Borough Council supports sporting development & success and views grant aid as one positive means of supporting this process.

Affiliation

For clubs to access grants they must become affiliated to SADSAC.  This years Affiliation fee is £10.00, which not only provides you with the opportunity to access grants but will also provide:

• Notification of presentations/talks of benefit to your sports club
• An attendance subsidy on any sports development workshop / course run by Shrewsbury Leisure
• Receipt of Action Replay (sports development magazine, 4 times a year)
• Inclusion in sports club directory
• Advise and assistance from Shrewsbury Leisure's Sports Development Manager
• Employment opportunities for club coaches on development programmes

For clubs / teams / individuals to access grant aid they must fulfil the criteria set by SADSAC, which is detailed within application forms available from the Secretary of SADSAC.

Enclosed is a cheque for £            made payable to SAB Council on behalf of .......................................(club name).  The club accepts that affiliation to SADSAC does not guarantee automatic access to Grant Aid and appreciates that allocation of funds are determined by Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough Council in consideration of recommendations received from the Sports Advisory Councils Executive Committee.
