Voluntary Sports Clubs Fund

The Borough Council and Shrewsbury and District Sports Advisory Council acknowledge and commend the valued contribution of voluntary clubs providing sporting opportunities in the Shrewsbury area. Local clubs are the focal point of Community Sport provision, and offer a high quality means of effective delivery.

Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council hold in high regard the effort that local clubs and their volunteers put into the sports, and appreciate the need for high quality clubs in Shrewsbury.

As a result, SADSAC have set up a grant aid system, providing financial assistance to clubs whose development projects will further enhance the communities sporting involvement.

Voluntary sports club projects who may be eligible for help can complete the appropriate application, and return it to us. (See contact details below.)

For further advice and assistance, (including the next Executive Committee meeting, where applications will be considered) may be obtained by prior contact with the Secretary.

The maximum grant payable in one financial year April - March is 50% of any approved project, providing that there is clear evidence of financial need and allied enhancement to sporting opportunity.
