Pride In Shrewsbury

Pride In Shrewsbury is the latest Street Scene initiative to be introduced by Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council to assist in combating litter in the local community. Pride in Shrewsbury works as a partnership engaging the services of the private sector and other public bodies at no additional cost to the local taxpayer.

Companies involved supply either labour or money to assist SABC in the removal of litter from the local community. In return for their involvement with the scheme, those organisations involved benefit from a considerable amount of Positive PR though their partnership with the Local Authority.

To date there are almost 30 companies involved in the scheme, resulting in over 520 extra hours per month with which to tackle litter within the local area. Those involved range from Fast Food chains, supermarkets. Local garages and Local Housing Associations. We also receive a large amount of extra resource from Stoke Heath Young Offenders and the Probation Service.
