Shrewsbury Colleges Co-Location Planning Application

Please Note :- The Meeting which was arranged for this application which was scheduled for 20th May 2008 has now been deferred to a later date to be confirmed.

The planning application for the co-location of Shrewsbury Colleges is available online.
We would like to receive any comments you wish to make in writing (email: planningdevelopmentcontrol@shrewsbury.gov.uk ) and these will be considered in due course by a special meeting of the Borough Council's Development Control and Environmental Protection Committee. Any comments received after the above date will also be taken into account as part of the officer report to the committee. Public speaking arrangements at the meeting will be available in accordance with the Council's normal procedures for planning applications

Revised Planning Fees

From 6th April 2008 the Government has revised the planning application fees.

The fees are to be increased for all applications and come into affect on and after the 6th April 2008.

New Applications Process - 1APP Forms

From 6th April 2008, the new national standard planning application form (1APP) will replace all existing types of planning application forms (except applications for minerals) within England, and will become the only legal way of submitting a planning application.
Shrewsbury and Atcham will only accept the 1App forms from 6th April 2008.  The 1APP form is far easier to complete online than on paper, and the Council advises that applications are made online.
Printable versions are available from the Planning Portal website, and the Council can provide paper copies on request.

Do I need planning Permission?

If you are thinking about modifying or extending your property, or even building something new, then you might need planning permission. The Council can advise you whether you will need permission, and what sort of applications you will need to make.

Applying for Planning Permission

We recommend that you apply through the Planning Portal you can fill in and submit the forms and drawings online, you can also pay the fees online.
It saves time and is more accurate, and is kinder to the environment (a typical paper application is made up of the equivalent of 140 A4 sheets of paper)

Officer's reports are published 5 working days before the date of the meeting, and are available on this website.
 
Minutes are required to go through an approval process before publication, however they are normally available on this website within 5 working days of the meeting.
