Alberbury Conservation Area

The village of Alberbury is a loose-knit cluster of houses and farm buildings situated 9 miles west of Shrewsbury, on the north side of the B4393 Llanfyllin road.  The Alberbury Conservation Area was designated on February 5, 1985, with the Conservation Area boundary extended on July 10, 2006.  It covers an area of approximately 32.3 hectares, and comprises the majority of dwellings in the village.

The following document contains a full appraisal of the Alberbury Conservation Area. The purpose of the document is to identify those parts of the Conservation Area that should be preserved and enhanced. It also contains proposals for improvement.
