CHURCH PULVERBATCH CONSERVATION AREA

The village of Church Pulverbatch is located approximately eight miles south west of Shrewsbury.  It lies within the Parish of Church Pulverbatch, just to the east of Castle Pulverbatch and the County road from Shrewsbury to Bishop's Castle via Longden.  The village is a hill top settlement on the edge of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The Church Pulverbatch Conservation Area was designated on September 25, 1990 and covers an area of 21.1 hectares (52.2 acres).  The Conservation Area includes all of the buildings in the village as well as large areas of adjacent open space.

The following document contains a full appraisal of the Church Pulverbatch Conservation Area. The purpose of the document is to identify those parts of the Conservation Area that should be preserved and enhanced. It also contains proposals for improvement.
