Harley village is located 16 miles to the south east of Shrewsbury on the A458 Shrewsbury to Bridgnorth road, and lies at the foot of the Wenlock Edge.  The Harley Conservation Area was designated on April 2, 1985 and comprises the majority of the dwellings in the village.

The following document contains a full appraisal of the Harley Conservation Area. The purpose of the document is to identify those parts of the Conservation Area that should be preserved and enhanced. It also contains proposals for improvement.
