Plealey is an attractive village situated approximately five miles south west of Shrewsbury. It lies in the Parish of Pontesbury, close to the A488 to Bishop's Castle. The Plealy Conservation Area was designated on October 30, 1987 and comprises the majority of dwellings in the village.

The following document contains a full appraisal of the Plealey Conservation Area. The purpose of the document is to identify those parts of the Conservation Area that should be preserved and enhanced. It also contains proposals for improvement.
