The Purpose of this revised guide is to explain how Government advice and Council policy affect the design of shop fronts and advertisements throughout the Borough. The aim is to assist applicants and their agents in developing proposals that preserve or enhance the environment.

New Publication:  Conversion of Redundant Traditional Rural Buildings - Planning Guidance for Owners, Occupiers and Developers

The purpose of this new Guidance Note is to explain the main criteria against which applications for planning permission and listed building consent are considered on proposals for the adaptation and re-use of the Borough's traditional rural buildings.
