Flood Risk Areas

If your planning application falls within a Flood Risk Area it is the responsibility of you, as the applicant, to provide a Flood Risk Assessment as part of your planning application and failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.

For householder applications you may only need to confirm that the floor level of the proposed extension will not be lower than the floor level of the main property and that you have considered flood proofing measures.
