Shop Fronts and Advertisements (Revised May 2004)

This guidance builds upon the requirements of Local Plan Policies GP8 'Advertisement Hoardings' ; GP9 ' Shopfronts and Fascia Signs'; and HE10 'Shopfronts on Listed Buildings and in Conservation Areas'. The information is provided to assist developers and businesses within the Borough when preparing proposals for new, or replacement shopfronts and advertisements.

The Council will be continue to produce further appropriate guidance notes in order to provide further detail in support of Local Plan Policies. Copies of future draft guidance documents will be posted on this site as and when they become available.

Hard copies of the Supplementary Planning Guidance are available to view at The Guildhall or available to buy at a charge of £5.00 each. Copies are available to order in large print and audio on request.
