2.0 Site Details

The site slopes down from Abbey Foregate to the Rea Brook. There is a derelict house adjacent to Mill Road. Adjacent to this, close to the boundary with 134 Abbey Foregate, is a mature willow tree. The rear part of the site was used by a building supplies merchant, but has been vacant for a number of years. The industrial buildings in this area have been demolished, but the floor slabs are still evident. The rear part of the site is overgrown and is well screened by mature trees and high brick walls.

2.2 Access

The only existing vehicular access is via Mill Road. This is a narrow no through road and is not adopted (see Plan 2). Mill Road is used by the solicitors to gain access to parking spaces to the rear of 139 Abbey Foregate.
