Statement of Community Involvement

Notice of Adoption and Adoption Statement

Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council has prepared a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) as part of the Borough Local Development Framework (LDF). The SCI sets out how the community will be engaged in the preparation of the LDF, in the determination of planning applications and in matters relating to conservation and trees/hedgerows. The SCI was adopted by the Borough Council on 16^th February 2006.

Copies of the SCI, the adoption statement and the Inspector's report prepared after consideration of representations submitted are available for inspection at the Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury during normal office hours: Monday - Friday 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Copies of these documents have also been deposited at public libraries throughout the Borough and are available to view on the Borough Council's web site http://www.shrewsbury.gov.uk/.

Any person aggrieved by the SCI may apply to the High Court for a judicial review of the decision to adopt the SCI. Any such application must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the day on which the SCI was adopted.
