Radar Keys

The National Key Scheme offers independent access to disabled people to around 4,000 locked public toilets around the country. This scheme is run by Radar (Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation), the UK's campaigning and advisory disability body, run by and for disabled people. Keys are issued free to residents of Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council. (Proof of residency required.)
A fee of £3.00 is payable in respect of non-residents.
Where can I get a Radar key from?
Radar Keys are available from The Guildhall at Frankwell Quay, the Tourist Information Centre based at the Music Hall, and the Reference Library on Castle Gates.
Requirements:
- Radar Key application form, which can be obtained from us by calling into reception or ringing 01743 281062 or 281063
- Proof of disability:
- Disability Living Allowance book or letter*
- Letter from Doctor or similar proof
- Proof of identification showing full postal address (*the above mentioned book/letter should suffice)
Where can I use a Radar key?
